HOW HEALTHY IS YOUR BATTERY?
The clocks have now changed and the colder weather is well on its way.
Drivers know that cold weather and batteries often don’t go well together and it can be much harder to start your car, particularly if the car has been sat outside overnight. The reason this happens is that, as it gets colder, it becomes much harder for the battery to stay fully charged and it’s ability to start the car first time diminishes. This can be made worse if your battery is not in tip-top condition.
So, to make sure that you don’t have battery problems and problems starting your car on a cold morning, I would suggest that you get your battery checked out, even if you find yourself between services.
Now, modern batteries don’t require a lot of looking after. But, it is prudent to get them checked out every now and again. Please don’t do this yourself as batteries are full of very corrosive acid. If you are going to get it checked out then get it checked out by an expert.
When you do so make sure you use a reputable battery supplier who is also going to take care of the disposal of old batteries in an environmentally responsible way. If you are in any doubt give us a call and we’d be glad to help or advise you.
We hope that you find these tips useful.
